Paid Parental Leave

Paid Parental Leave

Australia's first national Paid Parental Leave scheme, funded by the Government comes into effect on 1 January 2011.  The scheme provides 18 weeks' paid leave, paid at the federal minimum wage of approximately $570 a week before tax.  As an employer, you need to provide Parental Leave pay to your eligible long-term employees.
