Looking for new ways to add more value to client relationships, attract new clients and lift fee revenue while keeping a lid on business costs?

All businesses in Australia are vulnerable to Fair Work compliance challenges and inadvertently breaching their employer obligations under the Modern Awards. These issues have the potential to affect and stifle all businesses.

As a Workforce Guardian partner you can give your clients expert employment relations content from us.  You can download our latest articles for use in your own marketing and newsletters, refer your clients to our valuable educational webinars or talk to us about using our knowledgeable and engaging speakers for client events.

We can inform your clients on employment relations issues and give them compliance peace of mind, so that you can focus on adding strategic value to your clients' businesses.

Articles

Workforce Guardian HR and Employment Relations articles focus on recent cases as well as legislation and compliance changes that are impacting clients like yours. We also feature developments at the Fair Work Ombudsman's office that every Director, CEO or Manager must know about. Every article is focused to deliver current information with no HR or legal speak.

Pro-active HR and Employment Relations

Don't fall prey to the penalties of non-compliance - take the time now to ensure your employer obligations are in order.

1.    Directors' Personal Liability on Super
The director penalty regime will be extended to include the superannuation guarantee from 1 July 2011 when Directors will be held personally liable for their companies' failure to pay employee superannuation. With this date looming, I would strongly recommend that all directors and managing directors review the super arrangements for employees and contractors and consider whether any changes need to be made before the 1 July kick off.

2.    Paid Parental Scheme Administration
As I'm sure you all know the Government-funded Paid Parental scheme was brought in at the start of the year. As of 1 July however, all businesses will be responsible for administering the scheme. If you haven't yet registered with the Family Assistance Office, I suggest you do so now.  You also need to ensure your payroll system can record Paid Parental Leave payments and you need to implement appropriate HR policies to document and communicate your obligations. Not all of your employees who may qualify for PPL will qualify for Unpaid Leave under the National Employment Standards.
